Sag Harbor School District Budget Presentation

We are delighted to present our members with the school district’s budget presentation as a virtual meeting. Newly appointed Superintendent, Jeff Nichols and Business Administrator, Laurie Baum will lead us in the presentation. See below for information on how to login and attend. Please review the proposed budget (download PDF) prior to the meeting.
Come with questions to ask either live or via chat window. Sample Questions:
1)   NY State is cutting school aid. How will this affect program and taxes?
2)   Why are proposed budget figures presented as proposed budget to current fiscal year budget instead of actual or projected current year expenses?
3)   Can more granular information (numbers as well as analytical explanations) be provided regarding employee benefits as the ratio of benefits to salaries appears relatively high?
