Trout Pond Aquatic Invasive Plants CleanUp

  • Trout Pond 3200 Noyack Road Sag Harbor, NY, 11963 United States (map)

The NCC has just been notified that because of the impending thunder showers and possible lightning tomorrow, THIS TROUT POND CLEANUP IS CANCELLED. It will be rescheduled for a date in September. The Town does not want us holding metal rakes in a thunderstorm.

TROUT POND CLEAN UP #2
Help Remove the Invasive Species in the Pond

Volunteers are asked to join the Town of Southamton’s Parks & Rec. Department and Councilman Tommy John Schiavoni to help clean up Trout Pond’s invasive species Cabomba caroliniana that is overtaking the pond. This event will be similar to the last cleanup done in September 2022. Click here to read 27 East Article of that event.

The Parks and Recreation Dept. will supply rakes to pull up the invasive plants and dispose of them. Kayaks are needed along with rakes if you have one. Some volunteers wore wet suits last year and some volunteers wore gloves. This event was very successful in eliminating invasive plants. Stay as long as you can.

The Noyac Civic Council will give Community Service for students who participate.
